After a 25-year hiatus, the SG Supreme is back, and according to Gibson, it’s bolder and more luxurious than ever. This electric guitar combines classic SG attitude with premium appointments and powerful electronics for players with high demands.

The new SG Supreme stands out with its elegant AAA-grade figured maple top on a classic mahogany body, finished in eye-catching colors and accented by gleaming gold hardware. The smooth ebony fretboard features a compound radius, 24 medium jumbo frets, and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays for effortless playability and undeniable style.

A striking design element takes center stage on the headstock: a brand-new mother-of-pearl inlay inspired by a vintage Art Deco-era Gibson design. This captivating detail infuses the SG Supreme with a sense of history and enduring sophistication.

As for the eletronics, it comes with a powerful set of Burstbucker Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups. Push/pull volume controls enable coil tapping for a versatile array of tones, ranging from fat humbucker warmth to crisp, single-coil definition.

The Supreme Legacy

The SG Supreme first appeared in the late 1990s as a premium addition to the iconic SG line. Previous iterations featured high-end appointments like figured maple tops, opulent inlays, and gold hardware. This new release carries on the Supreme legacy, combining it with modern craftsmanship.

“Don’t settle, Play Supreme” says Cesar Gueikian, CEO of Gibson on Instagram.
